‘Endless Cookie’ is a very nice animation for Zune, the MP3-player of Microsoft. If you know that you can share a song endlessly with Zune and this way the network keeps growing, it all becomes a bit more clear. This commercial is made by Passion Pictures and the song is Magic Trick by M. Ward.
The website of Buy N Large, the notorious store from the new Pixar movie Wall-E, is active. The information is extremely broad, shocking and funny. I’m already reading the site for a long time and still haven’t seen everything. The funniest parts are the hidden references to everything that has got something to do with Pixar.
The overall impression however is that Buy N Large Company offers the most disgusting future perspective for mankind. Money is everything and everything is money. Catchphrases like “BNL Family Values - Because the family that pays together, stays together” can be found throughout the website. The company has got an “almost complete” monopoly in the media, the weather, politics and even education. Critics are seen as souls that still need to be won over. In short, the whole world is a mess.
So what can you buy there? Just everything: from a privatised weather system, space travels to a Wend-E (not to be mistaken with a Wendy ). This magnificent device gathers all your clothes and calculates the specific dirtiness per item. If necessary it washes, dries and irons the clothes, after which it will be nicely folded and put away in the closet.
Wall-E promises to be an interesting movie with relentless criticism on the current consumption society. If you click on “Read More” you will find the (BNL Production) movie poster for “Annual Report 2″ with some nice easter eggs. (Read more…)
Horton Hears a Who is a new animation movie produced by Blue Sky Studios (Fox) based on the book by Dr. Seuss. Voices for this movie include Jim Carrey and Steve Carell.
Horton is an elephant with a great imagination. One ordinary day he hears a voice coming out of a hovering dust-heap. The voice calls desperately for his help. Horton assumes the beings calling him are probably too small to be seen by an elephant’s eye. But how small they may be, everyone has got the right to a good life, so he does everything in his powers to protect the dust-heap. His friends from the jungle soon declare Horton to be a nutcase…
Extraterrestrial life is hot in 2008. After Wall-E, Planet One and Space Chimps, Terra will be the fourth animated movie with space/aliens as storyline. Terra is a CG animation movie based on the short movie by the same name from director Aristomenis Tsirbas. The independent Snoot Entertainment Studio will take care of the production, however a distributor hasn’t been found yet. There are some famous voices in the movie, like Evan Rachel Wood, Chris Evans, Justin Long, Luke Wilson, Amanda Peet, Dennis Quaid, Danny Glover, James Garner and Rosanna Arquette.
The peaceful planet Terra is threatened by an invasion by the human race. After the destruction of earth, caused by greed and pollution, this would make an ideal ‘fresh’ planet for the homeless humans. The reptile-like inhabitants of Terra are considered as an unnecessary animal race, however in reality they are highly civilised beings. With their paddle-like tails the Terrians swim in helium air like fishes in the water. Their fear of people is great. Mala, a rebellious Terrian teen, is doing everything to stop the destructions. Just as in Planet One it is a story about an inverted alien invasion. Producer Keith Calder says it is not an anti-human movie, because the movie shows both the good and the bad qualities of mankind.
